Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other theatrical performances. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, then began more intense training in singing at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. In 2000, she relocated back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo of traditional Latin American music at private performances. As an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her active in a variety of different projects. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
